Education

I graduated from Nova High School in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. I have a bachelor's degree in Government from Florida State University, a masters degree from Univeristy of San Francisco in Rehabilitation Administration, a masters from University of West Florida in Educational Leadership and I am currently working on my dissertation to complete my doctorate in Educational Leadership from Keiser University. 



Experience

I am a second career Special Education teacher with 14 years' experience. I have taught in self-contained classrooms, developed programs and transition work activities for students, taught in general education classrooms and an Inclusion teacher, developed district secondary local assessments, served as liasion wiht six public schools as well as private schools in the county and I am a certified Job Coach in Florida. In my first career I was an administrator in several long-term care facilities for persons with developmental disabilities. 



Bio

I am divorced with two adult sons, three grandchildren and two daughter in-laws. I enjoy spending time with my grandchildren and family as well as extended family. I volunteer in my church and several community non-profit organizations. I enjoy reading, research and volunteering. I really enjoy the old black and white westerns from back in the day. 

I hae been a sponsor of a Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) chapter. I was the school chair for the United Way campaign. I have also served as a class sponsor.
